Camp Kesem

Hello Epsilon Tau At Large!

We are partnering with the Boston College chapter of Camp Kesem as our local service project this year!  Camp Kesem is a national program with several chapters across the country that gives children whose parents or primary guardians are experiencing cancer.  The camp gives the children the opportunity to have a fun camp experience in a supportive environment without the day to day worries and stresses they usually face.

Our chapter will be hosting a 5K run/walk this fall - stay tuned for details - to help support the cause, but they are still raising money for this year's camp.  Camp Kesem Chestnut Hill will take place from Tuesday Aug. 18th through Aug. 23rd, departing at 10:30am, and returning by 5pm. Camp will be held at the beautiful Camp Hayden Marks located in Fishkill, NY (3 hours by car, transportation will be provided). Camp is free of charge and is offered to children ages 6-16 whose parent has, or has had cancer.

If you would like to donate please follow the links below to see how you can help.  The chapter is also looking for nurses to volunteer their time to serve as camp nurses during this session.

If you know a child in the greater Boston/NH area who would benefit from this camp, applications are located here:

If you are interested in volunteering for the 5K or helping to plan the event contact

Saint Anselm Induction Fall 2014

Congratulations Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship 2014 Recipients!

Our scholarship and awards committee had the tough task in choosing the recipients for the undergraduate and graduate scholarships.  There were several very deserving candidates and the choice was very difficult.

We are proud to announce that Carly Staab and Ann Fournier were awarded $1,000 Graduate Scholarships.  Liciana Iudiciana (Rivier University) and Frankie Mueller (Saint Anselm College) are the recent recipients of $500 undergraduate scholarships.

The Research Committee awarded a Research Grant to Dr. Deborah McCarter-Spaulding.
